Back in June vocalist David Gunn and bassist Eugene Gill of King 810 were arrested in Detroit Metro Airport while heading to the UK’s Download Festival. Two weeks later the charges against Gunn were dropped. This past Friday the charge against Gill, “assault with intent to do harm less than murder,” was dropped, too.

From MLive, who reported the news:

“Gill’s attorney, Clint Perryman, said Friday, Oct. 10, that he was notified prosecutors intended to dismiss the charge after an investigator was able to locate witnesses who said the victim was the actual instigator of the fight.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton confirmed that his office would dismiss the case.

“After reviewing additional witness statements, we’re not really sure what happened that night,” Leyton said. “Justice is best served by a dismissal of the charges. There were just too many conflicting accounts.”

The band hits the road with Slipknot starting on October 25th, at Knotfest in San Bernardino, CA.
