It’s been six years since A Perfect Circle toured, and fourteen years since the band’s last proper album, Thirteenth Step (they released a covers album, eMOTIVe, the following year). And while the group had already announced that they’d be playing Florida’s Welcome To Rockville and Fort Rock Festivals, today they announced a month-long tour that will start on April 7 in Las Vegas.

What’s more is that the band are actually going to begin work on a new album. It’s not certain as to when it will come out, but guitarist Billy Howerdel commented by saying “getting back to writing music with A Perfect Circle is a great way to start the new year.” So that means nothing, given that Keenan certainly seems to be taking time writing lyrics for his other band. Regardless, if you’re a fan of APC’s excellent debut Mer de Noms or Thirteenth Step (let’s not count eMOTIVe), you’ve got something to look forward to.
