Ronnie James Dio died in 2010, but aside from his rich catalog of music, his legacy remains. Of all the things he’s done outside of music, he’s probably best known for the sign of the devil horns. It’s quickly come to represent all that is “metal,” even if he didn’t invent it. In fact, in an interview, he said that he picked it up from his grandmother, but was happy to help popularize it. Well, although Dio isn’t around right now, if he was, he’d be happy to know that the metal horns are now officially an emoji. Unicode, a consortium that makes an industry standard for all computing, have unveiled 150 new emojis, and today with Apple’s iOS 9.1 available, the metal horns, tacos and hot dogs are among the latest ways to talk to someone without talking to them.
