Last week, rumors started to spread that Five Finger Death Punch were parting ways with bassist Matt Snell. At the time, though, neither management nor the band commented on the rumored split. And while it’s still presently unclear as to Snell’s current state in the band, guitarist Jason Hook’s latest comments doesn’t make things look too promising.

In an interview with radio station Power 97’s Power Drive (in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada), Hook was asked about the rumors surrounding Snell’s departure. Before quickly changing the topic (understandably), Hook said the following in response:

“At this time, we’re… I mean, there is something going on in regards to that, but I would rather keep my mouth shut so that I don’t get myself in trouble.”

You can hear the audio of Hook’s response below. Whether the rumors are true or not, this is a hard situation for any band to go through (just ask Chimaira). This certainly couldn’t have come at an even more difficult time for Five Finger Death Punch as they are prepping their follow up to the largely successful album War Is The Answer. Obviously, we’ll be keeping you posted if more develops.
