For coffee and metal lovers, there’s finally a place to unite both passions. Concept Cafe brings your caffeine needs to life in style with a lineup that lets you choose your favorite metal band as your morning fuel. It’s a concept that works, and it rips. You might wonder if this is just another cheesy marketing gimmick, like buying “air” from a KISS product. But no, this is legit. The coffee is delicious, with flavors that outshine most store-bought options.
One standout feature is the flexibility in how you want your beans: Whole Bean, Drip, Coarse, Espresso, Percolator, or Ground. Coming from a household that runs on a classic Mr. Coffee setup, we went with Ground and sampled three roasts: Cannibal Corpse – “Beheading & Brewing’ Coffee: Bali Blue Moon,” Motörhead – “Speedfreak,” and GWAR -“Berserker Mode.” As a daily coffee drinker who usually rotates between Costa Rica blends at Sprouts, Tim Hortons at Publix, or whatever Starbucks or Dunkin’ location is wedged between Florida’s endless food chains and roundabouts, I have to say that these coffees deliver. All three were sampled black to experience their raw, full-bodied flavor. But first, let’s talk packaging.
Packaging & Design
Cannibal Corpse – “Beheading & Brewing’ Coffee: Bali Blue Moon“
Out of the three, Cannibal Corpse easily wins best design. Bloody, brutal, and perfectly paired with your morning murder-fuel. The packaging is sleek and sturdy, with none of that flimsy grocery store bag feel. It screams horror meets metal meets caffeine.
Motörhead – “Speedfreak“
There’s an intimidation factor in opening a bag of coffee named after a metal god. And it works. The design clearly pays tribute to Lemmy’s legendary Murder One amp, and the bag itself feels solid and premium. Bonus: it came with a free towel.
GWAR -“Berserker Mode“
Unhinged, chaotic, and gloriously over-the-top, just like the band. Strong packaging with berserker-level art. You already know this coffee is going to be loud before you even open it. Each bag had a handy resealable lever in the back, making it easy to store and keeping the grounds fresh without tearing up the package. Nice touch.
Tasting Notes
Cannibal Corpse – “Beheading & Brewing’ Coffee: Bali Blue Moon“
Smooth, like a moment of comfort before getting fucked with a knife. This brew brings terror in a cup, a brutal assault on the senses that makes you want to Hammer Smashed Face your way through the morning with Corpsegrinder at your side. In all seriousness, it’s a balanced brew, not too strong, not too weak. Just right for a death metal palate. Best served black, deathly, and raw. Sure, you could add sweetener, but why soften the brutality?
How do you capture a metal god, a shot of Jack Daniels, and a piece of Motörhead history in a single cup? No one expects it, but here it is. Drank black, you catch the smell of death and feel the energy to dance with the devil as you gamble your way through the daily grind. Chocolate and caramel undertones mellow out the Murder One force, giving it a smoother, thrashier edge. But don’t be fooled; it still hits with a kick that says you were Born to Raise Hell. A metal god in a cup. Built for speed, bold, loud, and made to make the legend live on.
No raincoat is needed for this brutal cup of GWAR Java. It’s rich with a monstrous, unearthly flavor, clearly not from Earth. This dark roast could’ve been brewed in the depths of Scumdogia, ready to fuel a live Taylor Swift decapitation or launch you into full Immortal Corrupter mode. It delivers berserker-level intensity—dark, aggressive, and unforgiving. A flavor that cracks open your skull, awakens the dead in your brain, and gets you ready to eat steel for breakfast. No cream. No sugar. Just pure, caffeinated chaos in a cup.
Conclusion
All three coffees offer a unique and delicious experience. Flavor cranked to 11, packaging that rips, and a concept that actually holds up beyond the gimmick. If you love metal and you love coffee, this might be the brand you never knew you needed. Bold. Loud. Caffeinated. Motörhead – “Speedfreak” has made its UK debut at Raven Records; these coffees are going places, and you will too if you drink them.
