TMZ is reporting that Jack Osbourne, son of metal legend Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon, was attacked on Wednesday morning (3rd). The assailant, a stranger appearing to be a homeless man, decided to punch Osbourne on the right side of his head outside of a coffee shop in Studio City, CA.
The attack was seemingly unprovoked, as Osbourne was facing away from the street at the time. Osbourne’s only contact with the assailant came after the incident when he threw his coffee at the man in self-defense.
Police were called to the scene where they apprehended the man. After needing to taser him in order for him to comply, the assailant was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
A representative for Osbourne told TMZ that he was “doing fine” after the incident.
Jack Osbourne became a public figure when he first appeared on his family’s MTV reality show The Osbournes in 2002. He currently hosts a show with his father on A&E called Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, in which the two men travel the world and learn about historic and interesting locations.
