Demolition Hammer reunite after 22-year break

Demolition Hammer 2016If you’re into thrash metal like a lot, most likely you ignore most of the newest thrash metal bands and like all the old-school bands from the 80’s and 90’s and have your battle jacket covered in patches of those bands. One that surely has to be part of your collection is one by New York thrash legends Demolition Hammer.

Demolition Hammer was active between 1986 and 1994 and released three full-length in their short lived career Tortured Existence, Epidemic of Violence and Time Bomb with the first two releases highly regarded in the American thrash metal scene and, after 22 years since they decided to call it quits, the band just announced their return with more violence than before.

The band posted the following message on their Facebook page:

The violence returns, the options few, the casualties many. You try to convince yourself to take cover, avoid the confrontation or pray for a glancing blow………negative, all attempts are futile.

Only one strategy remains….. embrace the intensity head on, resolute in the fact that you will suffer irrefutable damage. Come to terms with your decision and witness the brutality first hand.

A quarter century has passed while the amps have been on stand by. Demolition Hammer returns with a full armament of fist to face intensity and bludgeoning fury. Only one question remains……………………….can you withstand the violence?

There’s no more information about their reunion, whether there will be a new album or if it’s just for live appearances but whatever the case may be, this is great news for any fan of thrash. We can’t wait to listen these tracks live once again and you should be as excited as us.
