Details have been scarce since the video above announced Slipknot’s upcoming 10th anniversary reissue of their self-titled debut (yeah, yeah Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. came first, stop showing off, you loser), but we knew something special would be in the works as the ‘Knot always takes special care with their releases. Some details for the September 29 release have made their way out through The Pulse of Radio (via Blabbermouth), including a whopping 25-song tracklisting and Shawn Crahan-directed DVD.

A Roadrunner Records representative told The Pulse of Radio that the CD/DVD set will feature all new digipack packaging and a total of 25 songs, including the original album plus several previously unreleased cuts and demo tracks. The DVD portion of the set was created, like all the band’s previous DVDs, by percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan and will contain “tons” of behind-the-scenes and early live footage. Crahan told The Pulse of Radio a while back how he goes about putting together the pieces for the band’s DVDs. “I look for the thing that makes me taste and smell and gets me excited, you know,” he said. “I look for those things to start it off, and once I have a few of those, then I get going. And then the plot goes from there.” The DVD will also include a commentary track from Crahan.

A “super deluxe” box set (price TBA) is also planned, with packaging resembling a safety deposit box (not exactly sure what that has to do with anything…) and a t-shirt, patch, collectible cards, keychain, beanie and a note from vocalist Corey Taylor. Speaking of which, has anyone noticed how bad his teeth are? Is that part of the scary costume?
