Following a five-month absence, Axl Rose has returned to Twitter. The singer directed his attention towards Vice President Mike Pence for abruptly leaving this past Sunday’s (8) football game between the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers and calling it a PR stunt.
NFL players have been participating in a peaceful anthem protest against racial inequality and police brutality resulting in kneeling during the national anthem. Reporters who were with Pence’s group were informed prior to the event that it was possible for an early departure, which only suggested the Vice President’s walkout was planned. While there has been an incredible amount of debates on this subject, Rose didn’t fully reveal his opinion. However, he criticized Pence for costing American taxpayers over $242,000 for what he believes is a publicity stunt.
I stand with @POTUS Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem. pic.twitter.com/B0zP5M41MQ

While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem
