Slipknot’s DJ Sid Wilson has been hospitalized after suffering serious burns to his face and arms due to an explosion. Wilson shared a few video updates on Instagram from the hospital, where he detailed his injuries, including burns to his face, arms, and blistered mouth. Despite the severity of his condition, Wilson reassured fans that he will recover and intends to rejoin Slipknot’s ongoing Here Comes The Pain tour, which resumes on September 1 at this year’s Rocklahoma in Pryor, OK.
In a follow-up post, Wilson mentioned being transferred to another facility for further treatment and revealed that his head will be shaved due to his injuries. Slipknot later confirmed in a statement on social media that Wilson will return to the stage.
“Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon.”
