According to DayFR Euro, Rammstein have been reportedly accused of plagiarism by French synthwave duo Ninja Cyborg, who claim the German industrial metal outfit stole elements from their 2018 track “The Sunny Road” for Rammstein’s 2019 song “Deutschland.” Legal expert Richard Dubugnon affirmed the allegations, citing “too many similarities” between the tracks. Ninja Cyborg’s initial lawsuit against Rammstein was dismissed in 2021 but has since been reinstated with support from Dubugnon. The case is set for a hearing on September 10 in the Intellectual Property Chamber of the Paris Judicial Court.

Members of Ninja Cyborg, Marc Botté and Martin Antiphon, were initially accused of plagiarizing Rammstein by fans online, which started in 2020, despite “The Sunny Road” being released months before “Deutschland.”
