Ozzy Osbourne has hit a series of health related issues over the last few years, which led to the latest cancellation being one of the headliners of the Goldenvoice-produced Power Trip festival, taking place this October. In a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks, the prince of darkness opened up to co-host Billy Morrison providing a health update.
Ozzy discussed where he’s presently at:
“I’m battling through it. For instance, last Monday, I went to have a filter removed. Because I had blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots from going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is. So, on Monday, I went to have it removed. The blood clots have jammed you all up. So, they put a thing down there in my neck, straight down to my groin.”
It hasn’t been an easy ride for Ozzy, from catching a series of complications, including contracting COVID-19 over a year ago. The Black Sabbath legend went on to express his constant frustration with his health forcing him to cancel doing what he loves, perform:
“It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life.”
While it’s clear Ozzy would love to return to the stage, we wish him a safe and healthy recovery.
