While in the midst of writing a new album, Norma Jean posted a cryptic image and hashtag to their social media outlets. Teasing just, “#OGTAfall2015,” the hashtag likely stands for O God, the Aftermath, their second full-length album that came out 10 years ago. It’s uncertain if this means the band will play the album in its entirety on tour (like they did a bit with Bless The Martyr, Kiss the Child back in 2009) or if a reissue of the release is coming.
As of a few days ago the band has been in the writing and pre-production phase of their seventh record, the follow up to their 2013 album, Wrongdoers, the second to come out on Razor & Tie.
Earlier this year Matthew Putman’s home (brother of vocalist Cory) was robbed of Norma Jeans bass gear, drums, and various musical equipment. A fundraiser was started to cover some of the loss, but it failed to reach 50% of the $5,000 goal.
