The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced this year’s inductees. Nine Inch Nails, the Notorious B.I.G., Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, and T.Rex will join the class of 2020 along with managers Jon Landau and Irving Azoff. The induction ceremony will take place on May 2nd at Cleveland’s Public Hall and will air live on HBO and the SiriusXM Rock and Roll Hall of Fame radio station. Tickets go on sale on February 27th.

Despite the name Rock and Roll, quite a few rock n rollers didn’t make the cut who were on the ballot this year, including Motörhead, Judas Priest, Soundgarden, Thin Lizzy as well as Todd Rundgren and Pat Benatar. The genres that won this year’s ballot is mainly comprised of the nineties-era ranging from industrial, hip-hop, R&B with a hint of seventies rock.

The results are much different than what fans have voted as the inductees would look a lot different with Dave Matthews Band (1,005,657 Votes), Pat Benatar (882,207 Votes), The Doobie Brothers (784,729 Votes), Soundgarden (722,931 Votes), Judas Priest (675,434 Votes) and Whitney Houston (593,374 Votes).
