As mentioned in Metal Insider’s list of bands that disbanded in 2024, three members of Jane’s Addiction appear to be working on new music together. On Friday (3rd), bassist Eric Avery addressed his excitement on Instagram about working on new tunes with drummer Stephen Perkins and guitarist Dave Navarro, stating:
“Writing some more new lines to some of Stephens drumming. Look forward to getting some Mr Navarro on them. 2025! @stephenperkinsdrummer @davenavarro”
One of the ten shocking moments in 2024 was seeing Jane’s Addiction reunite with their original line-up for their first tour since 2010. This led to the group releasing new music together. The reunion ended faster than a Napalm Death song when, back in September, at a show in Boston, frontman Perry Farrell went into an altercation with Navarro. The incident led to the band canceling the rest of the tour to ultimately taking a hiatus to “take some time away from the group.”
