When Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro clashed during a Boston show in September, culminating in Farrell punching Navarro before being escorted offstage. The incident ultimately led to the cancellation of the band’s remaining tour dates and announced their hiatus “to take some time away as a group.”

12) Metz
Status: Indefinite Hiatus
First Studio Album: Metz (2012)
Last Studio Album: Up on Gravity Hill (2024)
Years Active: 2007–2024
Reason:
“We’ve collectively decided to close this chapter of METZ. The band will be on “indefinite hiatus” while we take time to focus on other endeavors and enjoy more time at home with our families.
For the last 15+ years, we’ve dedicated our lives to this band and have had the immense privilege and pleasure of touring the globe and seeing the world. It has been nothing short of life-affirming. METZ has brought an immeasurable amount of joy to our lives and it’s our sincere hope it’s brought you some joy too. We are so grateful to all of you who’ve joined us along the way and have made this life a reality for the three of us.
We are incredibly proud of the body of work we’ve created and thankful for the lasting friendships and experiences that our music has afforded us. A special thank you to Sub Pop Records for always believing in us and allowing us to chart our own unconventional path. Sub Pop continues to be a glowing beacon of what is good in this deeply flawed industry, and we will always be grateful for their support and friendship. To work with people we consider family has been a true blessing.
Together, we’ve released 6 LPs, countless singles, played hundreds of shows across the globe, and have far exceeded any goals or ambitions we could’ve dreamt up as basement dwellers in 2009. It’s always been about the love of music and the beautiful mess that would seemingly manifest when we turned the amps up.
Love and gratitude to the inspiring and supportive network of family, friends, musicians, artists, labels, photographers, bookers, writers, journalists, independent record store owners, college radio DJ’s, and music fans that make this symbiotic wheel keep spinning.
If you’ve ever attended a METZ show, you know it was more than a band to us. We gave every ounce of ourselves to METZ, and it will be very hard to let it go. The intangible feeling of connection, community, and inclusivity that music creates has always been at the heart of what we do and will inevitably be what we miss the most. We will miss singing, screaming, sweating, and dancing with all of you.
Love and Peace
Alex, Chris, Hayden“

Status: Disbanded, officially in 2025.
First Studio Album: Depths
Last Studio Album: Living Chaos
Years Active: 2006–2024 with final shows in 2025 giving an ultimate farewell.|
Reason: Oceano announced their breakup in 2024 following vocalist Adam Warren’s departure amid controversy surrounding their inclusion on a tour with Attila and Dealer, both bands with members accused of misconduct. Warren initially defended their participation but later withdrew after investigating the claims, citing industry scapegoating and a desire to focus on solo work. The band plans to play farewell shows in 2025 before officially disbanding.
November 22, 2024 Warren announcing the band’s breakup:
“Oceano had no other tour plans lined up for the year so that allows us to focus on pushing this forward smoothly.
The Funeral of Oceano:
We have started Talks and planning directly with our team on our final shows ever in 2025. (I must prepare you, Oceano is never coming back after these shows happen. sorry, and if you’re those few truly happy about it? Me too. I’m getting too old for this shit lol).
The Funeral will be a unique experience and A fun send off for the REAL Oceano fans, friends, and family. I have been in talks with old friends abroad and from back home to have their bands or business be involved. I’m excited about being able to be super hands on with this! More news to come! Meantime, Enjoy the new album “Living Chaos” It’s litterally the Last Oceano Album EVER to be done! Me and Scott are very proud of it! And I’m proud of SCOTT for writing such amazing heavy music. You all should work with and pay Scott (our guitarist/composer) to help you produce music. He’s a genius at it and I think he’d be greatly successful with it if he chose to work with a few good artists here and there. Js. As for me I’m already focusing on my Solo Music / Live Rehearsals for my solo project down in Texas. I’ve been releasing music solo since 2022. So Moving on from Oceano, You can find all my music at ADAM ON EARTH on All Platforms right now. Much love. Forward NEVER backwards.
– Adam”
November 20, 2024, Warren expressed via Facebook:
“Addressing The Attila Tour Conversations Written by AW:
Believe it or not some people don’t spend their life on the internet. My only goal has been to take opportunities to push Oceano forward since the fans said they wanted it. You will not make me out to be a bad person for things I am Not connected to when it comes to what other bands members do. There was a time in my life when I was in a social media high horse, and I don’t agree with that nor plan to act like I am better than anyone nor that I know the details to anyone else’s business. I wasn’t aware of the depth of accusations with Attila and associates. I remind you, Oceano was not active for a long time before now. I don’t even know anything about Dealer besides the bands name I’ve heard when they first came out years ago?. Didn’t they break up? I did not even know what any other bands on the tour would be beyond Atilla until long after we agreed and no one in my circle cited any issues with our decision to take the tour. I think that before judging the innocent band just taking what seemed like a decent opportunity and has never been associated with these bands before, you should look towards the Agents, Managers, Venues, Websites, Festivals that all continue to support, book, and clearly downplay to their own clients the character of people their (good) bands work with.If you continue to read, keep asking yourself WHAT words have I said that are harmful? No one knew my circumstances nor my perspective until this moment. And I will stress, I don’t support any type of abuse or harm to anyone ever. But I’m not paying attention to what YOU all or anyone in the music scene personally does on the internet. I don’t have time for that. So it is clear I was not informed enough to make a proper decision to tour with this package. I’ve never experienced bands causing such a stir and I was not made aware until announcing the tour of people with such serious allegations surrounding them being on a tour I’m going to be on. I encourage anyone who is directly affected by those people/bands to contact the authorities/police and take legal action.
I have been nothing but kind and positive within this music scene especially on that internet side and that can be hard sometimes. A year ago We almost ended Oceano for good. We had an Album to drop but we def were done. I had ZERO idea my name is being tossed around along side fucking people who have people accusing them of horrible things. And getting upset with ME, because I’m just hearing about it? In real time people swarmed me while I was still figuring out what was going on. Y’all are vicious and clearly seek chaos without care of who it effects. Thought I have been blessed with much opportunity, as we enter a more connected era I have felt very disrespected over the years from a scene that really is more a facade than a real concept in reality.
After gathering my own information on the subject OF COURSE we will be removing Oceano from the tour. But shame on all of you who tried to make me the scapegoat. What are YOU doing to change this culture besides point fingers and reshare rumors? It’s time to get to work. I had zero idea the environment I was getting myself into. And I’m talking openly about it. What are YOU doing to change this?
As of today it is clear I am WAY more surrounded by complicit industry people, a Metal “scene” riddled with cosplay, worship of band members and less focus on artistic integrity. I don’t want to exist to YOU anymore. As of today I quit Oceano and will focus on being a solo Independent Artist (Adam On Earth). Oceano’s final shows will now begin being planned for 2025. It feels good to finally say that.”
