Frances Bean Cobain has been going through a sloppy divorce process over the last few years with ex-husband Isaiah Silva. Despite the divorce being finalized six months ago, they still had to come to terms with a property settlement agreement. TMZ reports that Frances wanted Silva out of her life for good so much that she rectified the property feud by making him the sole owner of Kurt Cobain’s famous MTV Unplugged guitar.

TMZ noted the following:

“According to the judgment docs, obtained by TMZ … there’s one major condition to Silva getting Kurt’s guitar — Silva’s baby mama has to quickly vacate the couple’s L.A. house, which is now strictly Cobain’s under the property settlement.”

Frances wanted to move on with her life and not suffer any longer from the messy split by having an even longer divorce trial. In return for her relinquishing her father’s iconic 1959 Martin D-18E, she has become the owner of the house they bought together and Silva has to pay his own legal fees. The legendary guitar that we have seen at the live MTV Unplugged in 1993 is estimated to be worth millions of dollars. Who knows, maybe we will see astronomical bids for it on Ebay.
