Fates Warning have returned to Metal Blade Records as the group has signed on to the label’s worldwide roster.
Frontman Ray Alder expressed his excitement:
“All of us in Fates Warning are happy to announce that we are back with Metal Blade Records. Metal Blade has been there for us since the very beginning and we are proud to call them part of our family. The journey begins again and we cannot begin to say how excited we are to work together once more. A big thank you to our fans for sticking with us through all these years. We could not be here today without all of you. That is a fact. Thank you everyone. Here’s to making some new memories!”
Fates Warning had been working with Metal Blade since the release of their debut album, 1984’s Night on Bröcken. Their last release for the label was 2004’s FWX.
With this signing comes news that the band is working on a new album, set for release sometime in 2020. This will be the band’s 13th studio album, following the release of 2016’s Theories of Flight. The band released a live album, Live Over Europe, last year.
Fates Warning will be heading out on the road next month as direct support on Queensryche’s The Verdict tour. The tour kicks off on March 2 in Orlando, FL and heads westward, wrapping things up April 3 in Seattle, WA. Tickets and VIP packages are on sale now. Check out the tour dates here.
