Daughters burn their recent royalty check

While some bands angrily post photos of their checks from Spotify, Daughters apparently just set royalty checks on fire. If a video uploaded to the Robotic Empire YouTube channel is to be believed, the band has no need for a $1,400 check from their label.

Late last month Robotic Empire Tweeted, “Hell(songs) Freezes Over,” a reference to their 2006 album Hell Songs, released on Hydra Head. If the band is actually back together and recording a new full-length it’d be their second with Robotic Empire, who released their debut, Canada Songs back in 2003.
