It’s been four years since German power metal standard-bearers Gamma Ray have released an album, and with Empire of the Undead coming out on April 15th, we’re proud to bring you the premiere of two songs from the band’s 11th album. “Time for Deliverance” and “Demonseed” are streaming below as part of a wider World Premiere of the album on several other sites. The first song is more of a power ballad, while “Demonseed” is a straight-ahead metal anthem.

The two songs you’re listening to almost didn’t happen. Empire of the Undead was recorded throughout last year at Hammer Studios, and just as they were almost finishing the album, a fire struck the studios. Thankfully, the masters survived the fire, and now you can hear part of the album right here at Metal Insider. “If this could not stop us, nothing ever will,” vocalist Kai Hansen said. “We got rid of a lot of shit that we gathered there. Unfortunately, a lot of good equipment as well. Anyhow, we look towards the future, we saved the production and we can continue now in this new place.”

Empire of the Undead will be released on April 15th in North America via Armoury Records in conjunction with EarMusic.
