Converge were recently mistaken for an internet provider in the Philippines called Converge ICT Solutions and has since made headlines on CNN Philippines. The group received a series of angry comments over the weekend from Filipinos complaining about an internet outage. After a series of complaints, the band shared the following message on their social media, explaining they are just a hardcore band.

“Hey everyone… still just a hardcore band over here. Covid has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet, but we hope everyone over there gets their internet access back.
