We are just a few weeks away until Mutoid Man’s sophomore album War Moans that will be released on June 2 via Sargent House. We already heard a taste of what’s to come with songs “Melt Your Mind” and “Kiss of Death and today, thanks to Stereogum, they unveiled the closing track. “Bandages” that features Chelsea Wolfe and her collaborator Ben Chisholm. It aims to depress you in the most beautiful way.
Bassist Nick Cageao described the song as:
“We wanted to write a Mr. Big-style arena rock ballad. And indeed, the big open chords and wounded lyrics will surely have audiences pulling their lighters out of their pockets, but Wolfe’s siren vocals and Chisolm’s electronic pulses give the song an apocalyptic weight never attained by the darlings of the Sunset Strip.”
