1349It’s been four years since the last album from Norwegian black metal quartet 1349. It might not seem like like it’s been that long, since they did get a chance to scare some people  earlier this year on the Metal Alliance tour. After signing with Season of Mist earlier this year, the band’s sixth album, Massive Cauldron of Chaos, will be out on September 30th. You’ve already gotten to hear “Slaves,” but earlier today, the band released another track, “Exorcism,” via Guitar World. As you’d imagine, it’s as grim and frostbitten as a blizzard in Oslo.

Massive Cauldron of Chaos will be out on Season of Mist on September 30th. You can pre-order it here in a variety of packages, including on colored gatefold vinyl, cassette or with T-shirts.
