Mannheim’s Hjort are set for their new album, Evolve IV-VIII, scheduled to arrive on January 24 via Inertial Music. The record will take the listeners on a 39-minute instrumental journey filled with melodic blackened doom, blending post-black metal and symphonic elements. Compared to artists such as Saor, Blut Aus Nord, and Batushka, this album can be part of one’s daily “metal meditations.” Recorded during winter 2023/24, Evolve I-III features artwork by creator Johannes Lenk. Today (22nd), the group has teamed up with Metal Insider for an early stream of the record.
