Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, meet doom trio Rocky’s Pride & Joy, set to release their debut LP, All the Colours of Darkness, on Friday (29th)via Electric Valley Records. This eerie and enigmatic album explores occult rituals, parasites, paranormal encounters, and chilling revenge within the realms of doom and fuzz-infused melodies.

The band’s haunting journey began in a cursed railway cottage in 2020, where eerie experiences inspired their first collection of songs, including “Crawl” and “Time’s Up.” Formed through a shared love for doom and fuzz, the trio, consisting of vocalist/guitarist Brenton Wilson, drummer Jessi Tilbrook, and bassist Dominic Ventra, embarked on their new music venture, which led to their first live performance in 2020.

Now, in 2023, after live shows and the release of tracks like “Time’s Up” and “Future Self,” Rocky’s Pride & Joy are ready to unleash their debut full-length, All the Colours of Darkness. This eight-track LP arrives just in time for the Halloween season as it explores themes of occultism, parasitism, unearthly encounters, and a thirst for vengeance. Rocky’s Pride & Joy remains an enigma, leaving fans intrigued and curious about their mysterious identity. Today (28th), the band has teamed up with Metal Insider to celebrate their upcoming release for an exclusive early album stream, offering fans a chance to experience the darkness before its official release.

The group commented:

“Who is Rocky? What is their Pride & Joy? These questions remain a mystery, guarded secrets kept by the band. Perhaps one day they will divulge, but all you need to know right now is that they are here to put their mark on Doom.”
