If you keep wondering how much your favorite bands make when they head out on the road, Billboard‘s Boxscore released their latest batch of earnings and attendance from many artists, and we’ve summarized them here for you.
There isn’t much to report on this week’s boxscore but there are numbers for some international festivals that we can talk about. We have seen what some of the domestic metal festivals make like Rocklahoma or Carolina Rebellion therefore, we can see how well other festivals with similar lineups do overseas. In addition to that, we have the numbers of some of our usual bands featured here, just to make sure if they’re still doing ok or not. It’s very well known that South America is a big market for big open air festivals and classic metal bands. Hell & Heaven seems to be the most successful festival from the bunch with $2.6M in gross sales and almost 50,000 people in attendance. The Maximus Festival wasn’t too shabby either but none of them really sold out even though their capacity were very conservative compared to the American counterparts. What’s great to see is Whitesnake and Scorpions doing so well during their Latin American tour, getting the audience and money they deserve. Good job!
