Many bands are venturing into the alcohol market, like Kataklysm, Behemoth and Mastodon; other bands decided to branch into a classier demographic with their own wine like Slayer or Satyricon but New York’s Anthrax have another market in mind: Bourbon.
This is not the first time Anthrax have put their name on a bourbon. Late last year, the band teamed up with Jefferson’s Bourbon to release “Indians,” a single barrel bourbon which was personally chosen by the members. This year, they switched gears and decided to work with Kentucky-based Knob Creek to produce two barrels of a high-end bourbon, “The Devil You Know,” now part of the distillery’s “small batch bourbon” collection. Bassist, Frank Bello commented on the product:
We had a great time sampling the different bourbons to find the one we thought was the best, and we hope our fans have the same good time drinking it. Responsibly, of course.
“The Devil You Know” is priced at $59 and is available to order here but can also be picked up at the Atlantic City Bottle Company. What you still have to wait a little longer is on the follow-up to their critically-acclaimed album Worship Music as they’re still working on it but are shooting to have it ready early 2016.
