Skeletonwitch 2016Skeletonwitch has been teasing plans for a new EP, but kept their lips sealed over who would be replacing Chance Garnette (who to many fans’ surprise got the boot from the band last year). Now we know that the person stepping up to the microphone will be… Adam Clemans of Wolvhammer.

Clemans (who you may also remember from his time in Veil Of Maya and Iron Thrones) joins Skeletonwitch just in time for the upcoming Decibel Magazine Tour, which will find them on the road with Abbath, High On Fire, and Tribulation. The band has also confirmed that the singer will appear on their new EP, which is due out this coming Summer via Prosthetic Records.

Guitarist Scott Hedrick had the following to say about his new bandmate:

“We are extremely excited to announce Adam as the new singer for Skeletonwitch. He’s a killer vocalist, lyricist, and all-around creative force. Please welcome him to the Skeletonwitch family as we begin this new chapter. As always, thanks to everyone who has, and continues to, support us.”

Clemans also added:

“I’m very proud to be a part of the Skeletonwitch camp, and I’m very excited about how the new EP turned out. Working with like-minded musicians is always a pleasure, and I’m confident that the new chapter of this band will carry the Skeletonwitch banner properly and proudly.”

So what does Skeletonwitch sound like with Clemans at the mic? Well, we’ll have to wait a little longer to hear a full song. However, a brief teaser of new music can be heard in the below video of Clemans discussing how he came to join the band. Garnette has left some massively big shoes to fill, but from what little we can tell from the below teaser video, Clemans seems to be up for the challenge.
