01) Cloakroom, Last Leg of the Human Table (Closed Casket Activities)

I’ve been fortunate enough to catch Cloakroom live nearly half a dozen times, each at different points in their robust musical journey. Last Leg of the Human Table leans slightly brighter and carries a touch more pop sensibility than their previous works, while still feeling like a natural progression rooted firmly in the band’s identity. Tracks like “Ester Wind” and “Clover Looper” serve up the fuzzy guitars and metallic bass clatter you know and love from the group, while cuts like “Bad Larry” highlight their dynamic range and expressive songwriting. The record lands in a sweet spot that appeals to a broad spectrum of music fans from underground and mainstream music alike, leaving you eager to see where Cloakroom will go next.
