The Bangles

KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent, who played on 1982’s Creatures of the Night and 1983’s Lick it Up, is in the news these days, but it’s not good news. An article in Rolling Stone details a reclusive man who hasn’t been seen since the death of his wife Diane Cusano in January of this year, and who’s last photograph is a mug shot from 2011. After he was relieved of his duties from KISS in 1984, he had a successful two-album run with his own band, Vinnie Vincent Invasion (whose other members would go on to form Slaughter). In 1988, the same year the band’s second (and last) album All Systems Go was released, girl band The Bangles released Everything, which went platinum off the strength of the songs “In Your Room” and “Eternal Flame.” One song on the album, “Make a Play for Her Now,” was co-written by Vincent.
