Donna Summer, Cher and Katey Sagal guested on Gene Simmons’ solo album

In 1978, all four members of KISS released solo albums. It probably annoyed Gene and Paul that Ace Frehley’s was the most successful of the four albums, with his cover of “New York Groove.” At any rate, Simmons recruited an all-star cast for his solo album. Reigning disco queen Donna Summer lent her voice to a pair of tracks on the album, “Burning Up with Fever” and “Tunnel of Love.”  Simmons’ onetime girlfriend Cher also appeared on the album, with a spoken word phone call on the track “Living In Sin.” And long before she was a star on Married… With Children and Sons of Anarchy, an unknown Katy Sagal also appeared on the album as a backup vocalist.
