It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Walls of Jericho. In fact, they haven’t released an album since 2008. And while they never really disbanded, the Detroit metalcore quintet took some time off. Frontwoman Candace Puopolo had a child and drummer Dustin Schoenhofer played with a handful of bands including Bury Your Dead and Vision of Disorder. However, the band is back! They’ve signed to Napalm Records and are working on their fifth album, due later this year. Here’s what Schoenhofer has to say about the new deal:
“All of us in Walls of Jericho are proud and very excited to have signed with Napalm Records and are looking forward to finally finding the right partnership to release our new music with. We would like to thank both Napalm and all our Fans and Family for being so patient with us these past seven years since our last release cause its long overdue.”
It’ll be interesting to hear if seven years of time between albums will make the band sound different. Last year, the band released a demo for a new song, “Relentless,” which you can hear below:
