Periphery vocalist Spencer Sotelo is producing the vocals on the next Veil of Maya album. Yes, just producing.
This news comes from an Instagram photo posted by guitarist Marc Okubo. And while the identity of the new Veil of Maya singer is still not confirmed, many believe it to be Luke Magyar of Arms of Empire.
The vacancy at vocalist happened in late September, when the band parted ways with their singer of seven years, Brandon Butler. The band issued a brief statement at the time:
“VEIL OF MAYA has parted ways with vocalist Brandon Butler.
Currently we are hard at work on our new studio album and while the music is almost finished, the hunt for a new vocalist is now on.”
This new Veil of Maya album will be their first since the 2012 release of ‘Eclipse,’ on Sumerian Records.
