It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison’s project Scar the Martyr. In fact, the most we’d heard about it was that lead singer Henry Derek Bonner had left the band (speaking of which, he’s doing ok following the car accident he was in earlier this week). It appears that there’s some stuff going on, if you go by the band’s Facebook page, however.
On Monday, the page posted a photo suggesting that the band could be in studio mode – a composite picture of a mic’d drum with a Scar the Martyr head, a rack of guitars and a microphone. Who will be singing into that microphone is, at this point, a mystery. Bonner left the band back in early April, and the last post on Facebook the band made before Monday was an open casting call for singers two weeks after that. Scar the Martyr released their first album in October of 2013. The band also includes former Darkest Hour and Strapping Young Lad guitarists Kris Norris and Jed Simon, respectively.
