Former Visions Of Atlantis Vocalist Nicole Bogner Dies

Posted by on January 6, 2012

Nicole Bogner, who sang for Visions of Atlantis from 2000 to 2005, has passed away at the age of 27 following an undisclosed illness. The singer was on the Austrian band’s first two albums, 2002’s Eternal Endless Infinity and 2004’s Cast Away. While there’s no information about exactly what Bogner suffered from, a statement from the band mentions a “severe disease over a long period of time.” An “in memoriam” page has been set up on Facebook, with the below statement from the band. Our condolences go out to her friends and family.

In deep mourning and with highest respect we have to notify all Visions of Atlantis fans that our former female Singer Nicole Bogner has passed away at the age of 27 after fighting a severe disease over a long period of time. The band is shocked about the loss of an old VoA-family member but wants to express sincere gratitude to Nicole not only for 5 years of sharing a musical Vision but also for more than a decade of friendship inside and outside of Visions of Atlantis. Without Nicole Visions Of Atlantis would have never been born and her unique voice and personality were a big part of VoA. With Nicole a great part of Visions Of Atlantis died as well. We will always treasure your warm hearted soul, you will never be forgotten Nici…

All fans and followers are invited to join the In Memoriam Nicole Bogner-Page here on Facebook to express their grief and respect to this great artist and person! Rest in Peace NICOLE and thank you! The VoA-family
