American SharksAmerican Sharks are touring across the country with Clutch and The Sword in support of their self-titled album. But was do the Sharks eat while on the road? In this food tour diary, each member of American Sharks gives us a peek at what they’re munching while on tour. Up next is drummer Nick Cornetti, sharing all the vegan goodies he had while en route to New York for shows prior to the tour with Clutch and The Sword.

This is a cheesy gordita crunch with black beans instead of meat, from taco bell.  You can ask them to substitute black beans instead of meat on any taco.  WARNING: This taco is entirely made of GMO so I don’t recommend eating it unless you are really hungry and there is nothing else around.

Organic tomato basil pizza, pretty darn good even after sitting out for a day.

Vegan shredded seitan BBQ sandwich with fried okra from Khyber Pass Pub in Philadelphia.  This sandwich was DANK!

We ate at Prosperity Dumpling in lower east side Manhattan before our CMJ show at Cakeshop.  After trying a few different cheap dumpling places in New York Prosperity Dumpling was our favorite.  Don’t waste your time at the other places, if you want to get some really cheap veggie dumplings when in New York this is the spot!

Our favorite part about eating dumplings is the black sauce. It’s not soy sauce…we don’t know what it is but it’s fucking awesome!  And of course Sriracha sauce is a must.

The next day I was in Manhattan again walking around and I decided to see what yelp had to say about vegan places nearby and Beyond Sushi had four star rating with over 300 reviews so I had to check it out. THIS IS THE BEST SUSHI PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO AND IT’S COMPLETELY VEGAN!!!!

Decided to get some Brunch on Saturday and went to this rad little place but I can’t remember the name…anyways these were probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had.  Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

On Tuesday we played a really rad show with our friends Hector’s Pet’s, Nancy, and Dirty Fences at Union Pool in Brooklyn New York.  Everyone told me I had to try the tacos at the food truck in the back, supposedly the best tacos in Brooklyn. I wasn’t hungry enough to eat a taco so I tried the chips and queso.  Not the best queso but one of the only places you can even find this stuff in NYC.

I’ve been on a mineral water kick for the last few months, pretty much the only thing I drink besides beer.  My favorite is Topo Chico but you can only get it in Texas and maybe California.  So, when I was in New York I tried to find something similar to Topo Chico and Pangea is a pretty good substitute.  If you are from Texas living in New York and miss Topo I recommend you try Pangea!
