Headed to the Chicago Open Air Festival? If you’re a fan of Rammstein, you’re no doubt heavily considering it after the teaser the festival left on their web page last night. Today at 5pm Chicago time, the festival will be announcing a few of their headliners. And while they haven’t said explicitly that Rammstein will be one of their headliners, the image, which shows an American flag with Rammstein’s logo in stars heavily seems to suggest that they’ll be one of them. If that’s the case, it will mark the first time the band has played in America since 2012.
There have also been hints that Slipknot may be playing the Festival. If that’s the case, then it will be two of the bands with the biggest stage productions currently touring, and a must-see for anyone in the midwest that’s a fan of heavy music. Then again, given that Slipknot sold out Madison Square Garden in 15 minutes the last time the hadn’t appeared in the States, they’ll probably do just fine.
Once the headliner is announced, a limited number of discount tickets will be available at the festival’s web site:
Discount GA Wknd Field: $199.50
Discount GA Wknd Bowl: $109.50
