Mad With Power returns for its 8th year of bringing action-packed heavy/power metal and free-play games to Madison, WI. This year, the festival will be headlined by Firewind (Greece) and Dream Evil (Sweden), both of which have no other announced US shows for 2025. Supporting them will be bands like Eleine, Nanowar of Steel, Striker, Aether Realm, and more, creating a diverse lineup covering the spectrum of heavy metal.

Taking place at The Sylvee on June 6 and 7, 2025, Mad With Power has made its place in the festival niche by bringing attention to smaller and medium-sized power metal bands, which makes it a great festival to find new, up-and-coming favorites! If you missed Lutharo, The Dread Crew of Oddwood, or Striker on 70000tons of Metal this year, you are in for a treat seeing them at Mad With Power!

In addition to an excellent lineup, Mad With Power tickets include access to all of the games on-site for both days – free play pinball and arcade, a Magic the Gathering tournament, LAN games, and retro console games have all been available in past years. Plus, Mad With Power is the only fest I’ve attended that offers a dinner break, giving attendees a full hour to grab food from the food trucks or a nearby restaurant without missing a single note!
