In the wake of Mayhem Fest’s demise, the rock festival, long popular in Europe, seems to really be taking off. In addition to the Chicago Open Air, Houston Open Air and combination Ozzfest and Knotfest, more and more new and larger festivals seem to be popping up, and AEG Live announced another one yesterday, Denver’s High Elevation Festival. Debuting Saturday, September 10 at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado, this one day festival will feature 11 hours of non-stop music on two stages amidst the Rocky Mountains.
Set to headline is Avenged Sevenfold, with direct support from Volbeat. Chevelle, Pierce The Veil, Ministry, Killswitch Engage, Animals As Leaders, Sevendust, Texas Hippie Coalition, The Amity Affliction, Neck Deep, Shaman’s Harvest, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Lola Black will round out the lineup for this one day event.
