Is the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise not brutal enough for you? Apparently the cruise’s organizers thought so, since earlier this year they announced the Barge To Hell Cruise. Setting sail on December 3 to Nassau, Bahamas, Barge To Hell is claiming to be the most extreme metal cruise of all time.

Sepultura, Sodom, Six Feet Under, Paradise Lost, Enslaved, Sanctuary, and Rotting Christ are among the 16 bands out of 40 confirmed for Barge To Hell, with more to be announced shortly. While this is already shaping up to be a solid lineup, it does make us wonder what this might mean for 70,000 Tons Of Metal. Many of the bands confirmed for Barge To Hell have either played 70,000 Tons Of Metal in the past or would have been a perfect addition to future bills. Plus, Barge To Hell is occurring only one more before 70,000 Tons Of Metal normally sets sail. With that in mind, will the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise return for a third year?

We’ll just have to wait to find out about 70,000 Tons Of Metal’s future. You can find out more information about Barge To Hell via it’s website, while a list of bands confirmed so far for the new metal cruise can be seen after the jump.

Update: The cruise’s organizers have just reached out to us and confirmed that 70,000 Tons Of Metal will indeed return next year. More details about the third 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise will be made available shortly via its website.
