Bands in the surrounding areas of Fullerton, California may have the chance to play on Rob Zombie’s stage if they prove to live up to the horror metal rocker’s standards.
Zombie, in conjunction with The Slidebar in Fullerton, will hold a showcase of weekly Battle of the Bands competitions in September and October. The final winner will perform one night of Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare Halloween attraction taking place October 10 through November 2 in Pomona, Calif.
Horror attractions based on Zombie’s films will be a part of The Great American Nightmare event also featuring 15 bands performing nightly, closing on the final day with a headlining set by Zombie. Other bands slated to perform include 3OH!3, 45 Grave, Andrew W.K., Beware Of Darkness, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Blood On The Dance Floor, Butcher Babies, DirtyLoud, Dirtyphonics, DJ Bl3nd, Doctor P, Duane Peters, Eagles Of Death Metal, Emilie Autumn, Evol Intent, Fei-Fei, Ghost Town, Goldfinger, HeavyGrinder, Kottonmouth Kings, Metalachi, Mod Sun, Motionless In White, Daft Punk Tribute One More Time, Ozomatli, Powerman 5000, Reel Big Fish, TSOL, Terravita, The Dickies, The Used, The Vandals, Twiztid, Wallpaper, William Control and Zomboy.
