Every Time I Die co-founder Mike Novak (aka Ratboy) quit back in 2009, and now he’s got a new gig. Novak is now playing with Modern Problems, a straight edge band from New York, and he’ll be playing his first show with the band next month with Agent Orange.

Said the band via Facebook:

“We have a new drummer! Mike Novak, who used to play with Every Time I Die has been playing with us for a few months and will make his debut with us on the 11th. This will also be Drew’s first show on guitar. We’re pretty excited!”

Since his departure from Every Time I Die Novak spent time on his own short-lived project Deadly Animals, did a brief stint drumming for Cute Is What We Aim For, and (as of last year) played with Forgive Us Crazy Kids. His new band just released an EP, Identity, which you can order here.
