corey_taylor_slipknot_diz_que_n_o_h_sentido_continuar_a_banda_sem_paul_grayAlready comfortable with metal (via Slipknot) and mainstream rock (via Stone Sour),  Corey Taylor takes a step in yet another direction for Google Play’s series “The “Uncovered Sessions.” His contribution to the installment, currently focusing on The Clash, is a cover of  the title track from the band’s 1979 album London Calling. Watch the Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman strip the song down to just an acoustic guitar while sporting a Nirvana t-shirt in the video below.

If you like what you hear, the song is also available for free download via a link in the video. There are a handful of other Clash covers by other more indie-rock leaning artists including Surfer Blood and Kurt Vile as well.
