Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a new column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This week, we’re putting the spotlight on Vancouver’s Gross Misconduct. Since releasing their debut album The Process of Indoctrination in 2007, this four piece band has shared the stage with the likes of The Haunted, Napalm Death, Amon Amarth, Brutal Truth, Forbidden, and many others. The group was also featured on the Warped Tour’s Vancouver dates in 2007 and 2009. They continued to receive critical acclaim following last year’s release of The Disconnect. Gross Misconduct’s blend of death and thrash metal riffage reminds us of early Sepultura and Cannibal Corpse. So without further ado, take a listen to “Of Redemption,” the first song off of Gross Misconduct’s The Disconnect, in the stream below.

Gross Misconduct hope to release an EP featuring a mix of new material and covers by the end of the year, while also playing gigs around the West Coast of Canada. You can purchase The Disconnect via the group’s Bandcamp page, while you can keep up to date on all of their upcoming plans via Facebook.

If you’re in an unsigned band and would like to participate in Unsigned & Streamed, email a link to your band’s music and a brief bio to tips [at] metalinsider.com for consideration.
