Faith No More’s return in 2009 may be one of the most buzzed reunions of the past five years. That’s partly because Mike Patton and co. were very selective (having only played a handful of U.S. shows and international festivals over the years). So fans worldwide (including us) freaked out when Faith No More performed a “mysterious” song in November of 2011. Was Faith No More secretly working on new music? Could it be?! Well unfortunately, not only does new music appear to be out of the question, but so does more shows. And that’s a big shame. Patton continues to make interesting and exciting new music on his own (both with bands like Tomahawk and even film scores). So Patton collaborating with his former Faith No More bandmates would at the very least result in a fun album.
