5. Metallica/ San Francisco Giants
Metallica are so tied in with the Bay Area, that it was just a matter of time until they linked up with the San Francisco Giants. That actually happened earlier this year, on May 3. The band played the Star Spangled Banner, Lars Ulrich threw out the first pitch, a special edition Metallica/Giants hat was made available, and a portion of proceeds were donated towards the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation. In all, it was a really solid crossover between two mainstream entities.
