They could have gotten any hard rock or metal band to play in the
background for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Hell, they didn’t
even need to get a real band to do the scene. But the fact that a
Hollywood comedy actually put a band like Cannibal Corpse on the
screen is awesome. Add in Ace Ventura crowd surfing to “Hammer Smashed
Face,” and you’ve got one of the most memorable metal movie cameos of
all time. Contrary to popular belief, though, Jim Carey was NOT
a fan of Cannibal Corpse.
