Opeth has always been the pedigree for prog death metal. But as Metal Hammer declared, “Watershed takes Opeth to an entirely new level.” The same could be argued about Per Wiberg’s synths and keyboards on that album’s single “The Lotus Eater.” Wiberg’s playing adds an extra oomph to an already epic and constantly tempo changing song, which could be considered a great introduction to new Opeth fans.
