1. Storm King Mountain –
This is the hike that made me fall in love with the Hudson Valley. The yellow Stillman trailhead is on Mountain Road in Cornwall, NY. The yellow Stillman trail skirts the northern edge of Storm King Mountain, winding around and finally bringing you after about 2 miles to (for me) the most majestic view of the Hudson Valley there is! You get a wide panoramic view looking north up the Hudson River. Looking east you see the rock outcrops that dominate Breakneck Ridge and the Beacon Ridge. Just west you can see the town of Cornwall, and the Shawangunks and Catskills on a nice day. Stay on Stillman trial for about another mile and then turn left onto the blue/red Bluebird trail that will, after about a mile, bring you back to the Stillman. Awesome hike!
