Body Count, Merciless (Century Media):
In the works since 2021, the hardcore metal band featuring rapper Ice-T on vocals, finally releases its highly anticipated 8th studio album.
Kim Deal, Nobody Loves You More (4AD):
The Breeders frontwoman and Pixies bassist/co-vocalist releases her debut solo album.
Opeth, The Last Will And Testament (Reigning Phoenix):
The Swedish progressive metal band’s returns to their old screaming ways on their 14th studio effort (their first in five years), a concept album about a post-WW1 family learning about their history as the will of their deceased patriarch is read.
Marilyn Manson, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 (Nuclear Blast):
The band’s first album since their frontman was accused of sexual abuse by many women.
Crossbone Skully, Evil World Machine (Better Noise Music):
Spearheaded by veteran rocker Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires, Warlock, etc) and produced by Mutt Lange, the band’s debut LP is a dystopian concept album in the vein of Ziggy Stardust that “takes on our current global crisis with the fury of a hellfire-and-brimstone prophet/preacher, condemning greed, avarice, racism and sexism in no uncertain terms.”
The FMs, 51122 (Independent):
The New York band’s latest album features the final recordings of founding member Frankie Rex, who passed away from a Fentanyl overdose in 2022.
